Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
Drink water. If you aren’t eating, choose drinks with sugar. Take meds as scheduled, unless told otherwise. Make a sick day plan with a doctor. Look out for signs of DKA/HHS.
Eat 15 grams of simple carbs Recheck BG in 15 minutes If BG < 70, repeat steps 1 and 2 until BG is > 70. When BG is > 70, recheck BG in 45-60 minutes
